Privacy policy
PawPlan is provided by Litany Software LLC. This policy explains what information the app handles, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information you provide
- Account information: your email address, sign-in provider, and account identifier.
- Dog and planning content: pet profiles, photos, recipes, ingredients, meal plans, grocery and prep lists, medication schedules, and related notes.
- Community content: recipes you choose to publish and related attribution.
- Support and feedback: messages you send and whether you allow us to follow up.
- Prepper pilot applications: if you apply, your display name, ZIP code, service radius, desired rate, experience, and required safety acknowledgements.
Information collected automatically
We may collect app version, device type, operating system, language or region, subscription status, and coarse events such as completing onboarding, planning a week, or opening a grocery list. We also receive diagnostic information when the app crashes or fails.
Device permissions
If you choose to add feeding or medication reminders to your device calendar, PawPlan uses calendar access for that request. PawPlan does not upload the contents of your device calendar to our servers. If you choose a photo or take one for your dog or supplies, the selected image is uploaded so it can sync with your account.
How we use information
We use information to operate PawPlan, sync your plans, provide subscription access, improve onboarding and features, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information or use your private planning content for third-party advertising.
Service providers
PawPlan uses service providers that process information for us:
- Google Firebase for authentication, database storage, file storage, and backend services.
- Apple and Google for app distribution, sign-in when selected, purchases, subscription management, and related transaction records.
- RevenueCat for validating purchases and managing subscription entitlements.
- PostHog for privacy-limited product analytics when configured.
- Sentry for crash and error diagnostics when configured.
- Google Gemini, USDA FoodData Central, and Dog API for specific recipe, nutrition-reference, image, or breed-related features you use.
These providers process information under their own privacy terms and may operate in countries other than yours.
Sharing and public content
We disclose information to service providers as needed to operate the app, when you direct us to share or publish something, to protect users and the service, or when required by law. Recipes you publish are visible to other PawPlan users; review content before publishing it.
Retention and deletion
We keep account content while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can delete your account in PawPlan under Settings → Delete account. Account deletion removes your authentication account and associated PawPlan user data, uploaded images, recipes you published, and prepper pilot application. Limited records may remain temporarily in encrypted backups, security logs, or where retention is required by law. You can also use our web account-deletion page.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your device and sign-in credentials secure.
Children
PawPlan is intended for adult dog owners and service providers. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your choices
You may edit or delete content in the app, cancel a subscription through Apple or Google, and delete your account in Settings. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information. Email us to make a request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as PawPlan changes. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date.
